Belfast Police Department reported the following recent activity:

July 1

Philip Dulude, 49, transient, arrested for criminal trespass.

Leonid Richter, 22, of Belfast, arrested for operating under the influence (one prior conviction), eluding an officer, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon (vehicle), exceeding speed limit by 30 mph or more, operating after suspension, aggravated criminal mischief, driving to endanger, failure to stop at a stop sign.

June 30

Katie L. Leach, 27, of Searsmont, texting while operating a motor vehicle.

Silas Roberts, 42, of Laurinburg, N.C., arrested for violating a protection order, disorderly conduct.

June 28

Carmine Ferrante, 44, of Belfast, arrested for assault on an officer, aggravated assault, criminal trespass.

Police say Ferrante was trying to get into another apartment in the building where he resides. When the tenant asked him to leave, they got into altercation during which Ferrante allegedly choked the tenant. The tenant got away, locked the door and called the landlord. The landlord called police then came to the apartment himself and confronted Ferrante, who allegedly choked him, too. Ferrante was arrested and brought to Waldo County Jail where he allegedly assaulted a corrections officer. Police say he appeared to be intoxicated.

June 27

Scotty E. Clark, 35, of Waldo, failure to stop at a stop sign, operating after habitual offender revocation.

June 26

Robert I. Porter, 36, of Montville, arrested for receiving stolen property.

Porter was found with a four-wheel ATV that was reported stolen from Pitcher Road in Belfast. According to police, the owner of the ATV was driving by Colonial Gables Village and recognized the vehicle as his.
