Belfast — Betty G. Hustus (Farnham), 91, went peacefully home with her Lord May 12, 2020.

She was born Betty Gaye Farnham Oct. 29, 1928, in Rockland, to parents Herbert Dudley Farnham and Hilda Rae (Dyer) Farnham. Growing up, she had a love of animals, music and acting in theater. She became an accomplished musician, playing both piano and guitar. Betty loved to sing, worked as an entertainer in radio, and had the privilege of performing with the Sons of the Pioneers. They nicknamed her “Rusty Parts” because of her flaming red hair.

Betty married Henry Edmund Hustus in Belfast May 13, 1958.

In later years, she lived in Tombstone, Ariz., and was referred to as “Mom” by all the reenactors and locals.

She loved the Lord, sunsets and music, but most of all she loved her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Henry “Hank” Hustus II; daughter-in-law Karen Hustus (Schmalek); grandson Henry Edmund Hustus III; granddaughters Barbara Gonzales (Johnson), Theresa Johnson, Linda Leahy (Johnson) and Eva Tack (Dziengel); 10 great-grandchildren; three nieces; a nephew; and her best friend, confidant and lifelong companion, Alice Robbins.

No services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ASPCA would be appreciated. aspca.org
