Hello again,

I hope this finds everyone as well as can be expected in the "Year That Wasn't." As we continue through the pandemic, just about everything remains postponed or canceled. Now, a few public service announcements:

- The Varney continues with restricted use for the remainder of the month.

- AA meetings are still possible with 10 people or fewer.

- There will be no B.A.G. senior luncheon for the month of June.

- The Thrift Store is closed (and no, you may not shop there no matter how hard you beg).

- We should not have to repeat this, but please do not drop off donations. There is a sign posted on the door to that effect, so this shouldn't even be an issue. It makes a lot of extra work for those who work so hard to bring you the store.

Continue to support our local businesses. They depend upon you.

- Marsh River Co-op

- Ralph's Cafe

- Gibbs Hardware

- JP Wentworth

- Roberts Greenhouse

Please continue to follow the advice of expert recommendations regarding the virus — not something seen on You Tube. We all need to do what's necessary so we can get back to "normal."

The church bell continues to ring every day at 6 p.m. in support of medical personnel and essential workers.

Did you know that church services are being held each Sunday in the parking lot, drive-in style? Check it out!

Be well and pray for some good weather so we can enjoy the outdoors and get our gardens going. Be in touch if you have something you'd like included in the column.
