Caroling Through Town

A group of Brooks people will be dressing up in Dickens Costume and caroling about town on December 23 at 4pm. If anyone is interested in joining in give mike a call at 722-3236.

Around Town

Well after much talk and debate two buildings in the village have been taken down. The "First House of Brooks" on Purple heart Hwy, was condemned by the selectman and was quickly demolished. Then "The Rose House"  was also demolished by the Church this past week to make room for a large parking lot. The rose house had been the talk of the town and even an editorial was done in the paper talking about saving the old inn, but the building was in disrepair and the church felt it had to remove the building.

Much thanks to all who participated in the new Brooks tradition of a free Thanksgiving dinner at the Varney these past few years. Thanks to Rev. Russ, and to all who donated time to bake, cook and clean up, it was a wonderful time.
