Hello everyone. I hope you are all enjoying your holidays so far. It's nice to see snow on the ground.

Mount View Alumni Night

Last year Future MSAD 3 sponsored alumni basketball games for the first time in many years. Saturday, Jan. 5, Future MSAD 3 will again sponsor an evening of entertainment for alumni and friends of Mount View. Building upon the success of last year’s event, this year will feature two women’s alumni basketball teams and two men’s alumni teams. This year it will be alumni vs. alumni, and should be fun to watch. Like last year, there will be alumni cheerleaders for both games. Entertaining the crowd throughout will be a strong alumni Pep Band. A contingent of Mount View’s well-known alumni Chamber Singers will perform at various times during the evening, adding to the festivities.

Tickets are $5 per person, or $20 for a family of four or larger. Future MSAD 3 board members will be selling tickets in advance.

This event will also coincide with Future MSAD 3’s annual raffle. This year Future is raffling off a Polaris 500 ATV, a Husqvarna riding lawnmower, a Husqvarna chainsaw with chaps, safety helmet and carrying case, an iPad and several prizes with a value of $50 or more. Tickets will be on sale until Jan. 5 at stores and outlets throughout MSAD 3. There are only 1,500 tickets for more than $9,000 of prizes. At $10 per ticket they make great gifts.

All proceeds from Alumni Night and the raffle will help to build athletic facilities, such as bleachers, fitness trails and concession buildings, at the new school. The more that's raised through events of this nature, the less the burden will be placed upon taxpayers. Help celebrate Mount View’s alumni and support this fundraising effort. For more information, visit Both basketball games (men’s and women’s) are limited to the first 24 players, so participants are urged sign up early. Practice time in the gym has been reserved for 4 p.m. on Jan. 5. Future has also reserved the Clifford Performing Arts Center that day for rehearsal time for those in the Chamber Singers or Pep Band to practice. Coaches will be in the gym at 4 p.m. to renew old friendships and get organized, so don’t be late. The women’s game will begin at 6 p.m.
