Greetings. A slow week for news as the year winds down. Please send any information — events, notices, unique trips/destinations, etc. — that you would like to share with your fellow Brooks neighbors. They appreciate it.

Many thanks to all those who supported The Marsh River Theater during the 2019 season. We're very happy to bring wonderful entertainment to the community. Would you like to get involved next year? We'd love to have you. There are many ways that you can: costuming, sets, props, concessions, PR, music, singing, dancing, acting. Your talents are needed! Stop in at Ralph's and talk with Mike or myself (or call the cafe at 722-3236).

Why is Veterans Day celebrated on Nov. 11? This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. Thank a veteran for their service!

Upcoming November events

- Varney Ladies Fellowship Craft Fair & Raffles

- It's A Wonderful Life Radio Show
