Freedom — What do an Easter Bunny and a boa constrictor have in common? Both delighted kids and adults alike at the Freedom Easter Festivities on Sunday at the Town Office.

Sallyann Hadyniak, Freedom Booster Club and Recreational Committee member, said she was not sure how many children attended the event in all, but said the group prepared around 70 goody bags for kids to enjoy.

"It was a very successful event," she said. "It's great to see all the adults participating."

There was an Easter egg hunt, crafts, door prizes, snacks and a chance to win a bicycle with training wheels. Easter baskets were also raffled off.

Mr. Drew and His Animals Too also were on hand, offering the opportunity for attendees to touch a snake, a turtle and a lizard. Mr. Drew runs an educational center in Lewiston where he keeps more than 150 animals.

Plenty of pictures were snapped with the Easter Bunny and with the boa constrictor. The annual event is sponsored by Freedom Recreational Committee.
