Calling all artists for Celtic poster contest

Belfast — The 14th Annual Maine Celtic Celebration is having a poster contest, with a cash prize of $250 and bragging rights for the winner, for its upcoming 2020 celebration to be held July 17 through 19 on the Belfast waterfront.

Highlights of the event are Celtic music, bagpipes, dancing, U.S. National Cheese Roll Championship, medieval artisan village, Highland Heavy Games, food, fireworks, kilt contest, sheep dog herding, Celtic dog parade, children’s area, and a beer tent.

Some key elements to include in the 11" x 17" poster should be: Maine Celtic Celebration; July 17 – 19, 2020; Belfast Waterfront; www.MaineCelticCelebration.com; suggested donation of $15 per day; and original artwork. Photos or drawings from the MCC website may be used as well.

The winning poster may also be used on the 2020 Maine Celtic Celebration T-shirt. Need some ideas? Specific instructions and some prior years' posters can be found on the Maine Celtic Celebration website at mainecelticcelebration.com. The deadline for poster entries is March 20. Please drop completed posters off at the Belfast Chamber of Commerce, 14 Main St.
