The Belfast Co-op is hosting it's 33rd Annual Membership Meeting
Sunday afternoon March 21st
from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m.

This year's meeting is being held at
St Margaret's Episcopal Church 95 Court Street, Belfast.

There will be reports from the General Management Team and the Board of Directors followed by Member discussion on the Co-op's long term planning and goals. The Board of Directors recently had a day long workshop around strategic planning and are working on long term goals. They are requesting input from it's members which now number over 3000.

"As we grow in numbers we need input from our members to stay vital and continue to reflect their interests" says Co-op President, Bindy Pendleton.  "For example we want input about how involved  we want to become in the distribution of local or organic foods?"  Management reports that in the past year the Co-op sold over  $500,000 in local products and that they could have sold more "if they had it".

Besides the Annual Meeting  providing opportunity for members to air their views,  there will also be opportunity to meet & talk with Board Members and potential new board candidates.  Ballot materials will be available so that elections and voting can begin at the close of the business meeting.

After the business meeting concludes, supper will be provided by the Co-op Deli.  Members may bring potluck desserts.  With or without desserts, members are encouraged to come.
