Camden Opera House re-opens with Gentle Temper

By Camden Opera House | Aug 03, 2020

The Camden Opera House, 29 Elm St., will re-open Friday, Aug. 7, at 7:30 p.m. with the first of a series of safely distanced 45-seats/one-set-only concerts in the auditorium. The new SoundCheck series opens with Gentle Temper, a Boston Music Awards-nominated duo based in Portland.

Ryan Meier and Marion Earley formed Gentle Temper 2016, finding its musical roots in the folk realm and its songwriting steeped in travel, love, relationship, family, mental health and inspiration from their surroundings. They have developed a unique sound by constantly pushing the sonic boundaries of what a duo is capable of, using an ever-expanding instrumentation to create dynamic richness. This concert marks their first live performance since March.

Doors will open at 7 p.m., safety protocols (face coverings required) in place. Tickets are $10 in advance (encouraged), $20 day-of, via camdenoperahouse.com and 236-3154. Seats will be assigned on a first purchased/first served basis. The show also will be livestreamed on the COH Facebook page.
