Belfast — Carl D. Munson, 59, died at home in Alvarado, Texas, June 1, 2020. He was born in Belfast June 9, 1960. He was the son of Alan F. Munson (deceased) and Roberta R. Munson.

Carl graduated from Belfast Area High School in 1978. He enjoyed hiking trails in Maine and traveling to different states and doing the same with his dog, Tiger. He enjoyed Steven King books and other types of reading.

He worked as a CNA, as a millright for Bath Iron Works, a private detective, graduated from culinary arts school and his last position was as a private nurse for terminally ill patients at Encampass Health-Hospice in Burleson, Texas.

He will be sadly missed by his mother, Roberta R. Munson, and her partner, John W. Clark Jr.;  his brother, Steven D. Munson and Alex Chykirda of Windsor, Conn.; neice Amelia Munson of Windsor, Conn.; nephew Cameron and Jessie Munson of Templeton, Mass.; great-nephews and -nieces; cousin Myles and Julie Munson of Aurora, Colo.; aunt and uncle Sandra and Wayne Newell of Princeton; great-aunt Ruth Scalon of New York; and many other cousins.

He also leaves behind good friends he came to see when in Maine, Ebon and Pat Sawyer of Stockton Springs, Jeff Schleicher of Northport, longtime friend Ken Christi of Texas, Conrad Guillory and Robert Clark Jr. of Louisiana, very special friend Mary of Texas, and his pet companion, Kitty, of Texas.

Carl's ashes will be scattered at the family's convenience.
