Cast set for Festival of Short Plays

BELFAST — Cold Comfort Theater in Belfast announces the cast for its Second Annual Festival of Short Plays. The festival features the new work of six emerging playwrights from across the United States and runs for two performances, Friday and Saturday, May 24 and 25, at 7 p.m., at the UMaine Hutchinson Center, Rt. 3.

The Festival of Short Plays includes “Familiar” by Robert LeBlanc (featuring Mike Rowe, Giovanni Carbone and Angela Domenichelli), “Modern Theatre Critic” by Robert Thomas Noll (featuring Jason Stubbs), “No Kind of Place” by Ilene Starger (featuring Giovanni Carbone and Lynn Bushee), “I Forgot to Knock” by Alyson Peabody (featuring Shannon Christensen), “Bridal Rose” by Madeline Puccioni (featuring Andre Blanchard and Shannon Christensen) and “PayDayus Ex Machina” by Chuck Smith (featuring Jason Stubbs, Dorothy Wilson, Andre Blanchard, Shannon Christensen and Giovanni Carbone).

The collection of staged readings are directed by Aynne Ames and Maggie Goscinski.

Tickets are $10 general admission and may be purchased in advance at Left Bank Books in Belfast, or at the door 30 minutes prior to each performance. For more information, visit coldcomforttheater.com.
