Chanler shows oils on Islesboro

Islesboro — Camden artist Bayard S. Chanler will show some 20 oil paintings in “Penobscot Painters Plus,” an art show opening with a 5 p.m. reception Friday, Aug. 11, at the Islesboro Historical Society, 388 Main Road.

The artist said the paintings will be a mix of older work and quite recent. Subjects include florals, scenes of Islesboro and some dog paintings. The show will continue 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. daily through Wednesday, Aug. 16. For more information, call 734-6733. To see more of the artist’s work, visit
