As the electric razor becomes more popular and mainstream, many men are considering to ditch their traditional razor for an electric razor. If you're looking to make the switch from the traditional disposable razor to the electric shaver, it is very important to know the benefits electric shavers offer which includes:

  • Cheaper Costs - Whilst the initial cost of purchasing an electric shaver is greater, when you compare its cost to a manual one over the long run, it can be cheaper because no new blades or shaving foam is required.
  • More Control – Many electric razors allow you to precisely decide on how much hair you want to cut or leave behind.
  • Quicker - A 2013 survey revealed 67% of users found shaving with an electric shaver quicker than using a manual one.
  • Less Messy – When using an electric shaver, you do not need any shaving foams or gels, meaning there is less mess and cleaning up involved.
  • Versatile Application - Whether you're looking to trim your beard or sideburns, or achieve a clean-cut shave, you can still achieve these different goals with an electric shaver.
  • Less Irritation To Your Skin - Electric shavers significantly reduce the risk of cuts or nicks to the skin. This results in a smoother, irritation-free shave. This also significantly reduces the risk of ingrown hairs on your face. They are also preferred for people with very sensitive skin.

When looking for electric shavers it is important to keep in mind that foil shavers with three cutting blades perform better than electric razors with a single blade, since they shave better and faster. Rotary electric shavers with three or four cutters are generally superior to shavers with single cutters.

While electric shavers are generally more powerful than disposable razors, there is a time and a place for traditional razors. are great if you are going on a short getaway because of its small form factor and the weight. Additionally, most guys prefer it because there is literally no maintenance needed for it and you can easily replace it after they are blunt or unusable.  If you are someone who cares a lot for convenience and regularly travels, getting a disposable shaver may be the best choice for you. However, over the long term, it is more expensive because there is no new blades or shaving foam required. It is also convenient and energy-saving if the charger of the electric razor shuts off automatically when the battery is fully charged. Overcharging your electric shaver might reduce the shaver's battery life. Regarding the charging speed, keep in mind that some electric shavers can still be used when charging, while others cannot. In conclusion, there are many benefits to using electric shavers over traditional ones, such as cheaper costs, more control, less messy, quicker to use, versatility, and less irritation to your skin. With electric razors getting better and better every year there is no time like the present to invest in a quality long-term electric razor.
