City Window Dressers workshop needs volunteers

Oct 29, 2018

Belfast — The Belfast Window Dressers 2018 workshop is taking on a big challenge this year — building 459 new inserts for 64 customers — and needs volunteer help.

In a news release, the organization says "... the work is easy, the training gentle, the food plentiful, and the feeling of community as we work together priceless."

Window Dressers begins assembling frames at the Belfast Boathouse on Thursday, Nov. 8, with a finish date of end of day Wednesday, Nov. 21. That includes two Sunday afternoon shifts and two new 6 to 8 p.m. evening shifts.

Interested volunteers are urged to visit windowdressers.org soon and click on “Volunteer” to reach a page on the signup.com website that lists all Window Dressers’ current workshops. Find Belfast, click on “View,” choose a convenient day or days and decide whether to assemble frames, provide kitchen hospitality, bring a lunch, or wrap frames.
