CNA course begins in November at MCST Adult Ed

ROCKLAND - Mid-Coast School of Technology Adult Education is accepting applications for our 200 hour CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) course.  The course begins November 6th and follows a Tuesday through Thursday daytime schedule for 11 weeks.  CNAs are in demand locally and graduates have choices for employment in long term care, assisted living, home care, and hospitals.  Students accepted to the course may also apply to Pen Bay Healthcare’s Apprenticeship “Earn While You Learn” program.  Students accepted to the Pen Bay program will be sponsored, paid to attend CNA class, and will commit to working at Pen Bay long term care facilities for 18 months after graduation. Upon successful completion of the course and passage of the State Competency Exam, the student will be eligible to enter the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant under the direction of a licensed nurse.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED, and a clean criminal background.  For more information or to receive an application, call 596-7752 opt.3 today.  Enrollment is limited; deadline to apply is 5pm, Thursday, October 25th.
