CNA Healthcare Certification with Tuition Assistance at MCST Adult Ed

ROCKLAND - Mid-Coast School of Technology Adult Education is accepting applications for our 200 hour CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) course.  The course begins February 5th and follows a Tuesday through Thursday daytime schedule for 9 weeks.  CNAs are in demand locally and graduates have choices for employment in long term care, assisted living, home care, and hospitals.  In addition, this course is a great stepping stone into additional healthcare certifications. Students accepted to the course may also apply to Pen Bay Healthcare’s Apprenticeship “Earn While You Learn” program.  After a student is interviewed and accepted in the MCST Adult Ed CNA course, students can pursue the Pen Bay program. The student could be sponsored, paid to attend CNA class, and have a commitment to gain employment in PenBay long term care facilities after graduation. Upon successful completion of the course and passage of the State Competency Exam, the student will be eligible to enter the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant under the direction of a licensed nurse.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED, and a clean criminal background.  For more information or to receive an application, call 596-7752 opt.3 today.  Enrollment is limited to 10 students; deadline to apply is 2pm, Friday, January 25th.
