The Coxless Crew’s continuous three-stage row was a first for a Pacific Ocean crossing.

Belfast — The Come Boating! Adventure Series concludes Tuesday, April 17, at 6:30 p.m. with a screening of  “Losing Sight of Shore” (2017, USA/Australia/Samoa/UK) in the Abbott Room of Belfast Free Library, 106 High St.

Sarah Moshman’s documentary follows the extraordinary journey of four brave women, known as the Coxless Crew, who set out to row the Pacific Ocean from America to Australia, unsupported. As they row more than 8,000 miles during their nine months at sea, they face extreme mental and physical challenges. “Losing Sight of Shore” is a story of perseverance, friendship and the power of the human spirit. Everyone has a Pacific to cross.

This special screening is made possible with support from Front Street Shipyard. Come Boating! Belfast’s Community Boating Organization and the Belfast Free Library are cosponsoring this event, which is free and open to the public.
