Committee OKs Cuddy bill for ed tech retirement benefits

Augusta — A bill sponsored to protect educational technicians’ retirement benefits earned unanimous bipartisan approval from the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Labor and Housing March 4.

The measure, introduced by Rep. Scott Cuddy, D-Winterport, will face additional votes in both the House and the Senate.

Cuddy represents House District 48, which includes Frankfort, Searsport, Swanville and Winterport.
