Community Holiday Celebration set for Dec. 1

Stockton Springs — An afternoon of fun is planned for Saturday, Dec. 1, during a Community Holiday Celebration in Stockton Springs from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. The event will include photos and selfies with Santa, games, crafts, a tree lighting and more. All are welcome.

Here's the schedule of events:

1:30 to 4 p.m. Activities for children at the Town Office and Stockton Springs Community Library (games, crafts, photos with Santa — all free!)

4:30 p.m. Nativity Pageant. Community children will present the Christmas story at Stockton Springs Community Church, just up the street from the Town Office. All children are invited to participate and no rehearsal is necessary.

5 p.m. Tree Lighting and Carols sung together by candlelight around the town tree.

Although all activities are free of charge, Stockton Springs Community Builders is accepting donations for the event as well as non-perishable food items for the local food pantry.

Preceding the holiday activities, children are invited to Stockton Springs Community Library for story hour and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
