Davis Foundation seeks letters by May 15 for Children’s Health Small Grant opportunity

May 09, 2019

Letters of Interest will be accepted until May 15 for the 2019 cycle of the Sadie and Harry Davis Foundation's Children’s Health Small Grants Program.

The Children’s Health Small Grants Program is a grant opportunity for programs and projects that advance the health of Maine children. The Foundation’s Small Grants guidelines and deadlines are now available on its website.

The Foundation’s mission is to advance the health of Maine’s children. The Children’s Health Small Grants Program annually awards multiple grants ranging from $3,000 to $15,000. The Program has awarded nearly $775,000 to over 100 projects during the past 12 years . Projects must advance Maine children’s health, focus on prevention, and ensure access to needed services for underserved populations—among other priorities. Please note, oral health proposals are no longer accepted for the Small Grants Program.

● For grant guidelines and application procedures, please go to the Small Grants Program section of the Foundation’s website. A review of the history of the Foundation’s Small Grant awards is found there as well.

In addition to the Children’s Health Small Grants Program, the Sadie and Harry Davis Foundation is primarily focused on improving the oral health of Maine children through its support of “From the First Tooth,” a preventative oral health care program for children currently operated by MaineHealth and the newly established Partnership for Children’s Oral Health. Through its support of these efforts, the Foundation’s goal is to eradicate dental disease in all Maine children and increase their access to preventative oral health care.
