Belfast — Mix and Match is the theme for November’s Friday Night Flix film series at Belfast Free Library, 106 High St. The free screenings takes place at 7 p.m. in the library’s Abbott Room.

The series continues Nov. 16 with “Sleuth” (1972, USA/UK). Based on the award-winning stage mystery thriller, the film stars two of the most beloved actors of the 20th century, Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine, and both were nominated for Best Actor Oscars. A famous author of detective novels and a lower class gent stage an apparent robbery of the author’s home. The author would collect the insurance money and the thief would get the expensive jewels — and the author’s wife. At least, that’s the plan.

There is no screening Nov. 23. The Mix and Match series will conclude Nov. 30 with “Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle” (1994, USA/Canada).
