Democratic candidates for the Maine House of Representatives from Waldo County, Caitlin Hills and Jan Dodge, will be in conversation this week with Jennifer Hill on “Finding Common Ground” at noon on Saturday, March 10, WBFY Belfast Community Radio at 100.9 FM, and streaming live at (where recordings of past shows can be heard on the archive page).

Jan and Caitlin will compete in the primary on June 12, when only registered Democrats in District 97 - residents of Belfast, Northport, and Waldo - will be allowed to put their mark beside the name of one of these two candidates. The winner of this Democratic primary will go on to compete in November with winners of other parties’ primaries, as well as Independent candidates (those not enrolled in any political party) to determine representation from District 97 in Augusta for the next two years.

Jan Dodge was born and raised in Belfast. She is retired, having taught music for 30 years in down east Maine. She is President of the Waldo Education Association Retired, and serves on the steering committee for Aging Well in Waldo County.

Caitlin Hills is Chair for the RSU 71 School Board, serves as Vice Chair for the Waldo County Democrats and teaches business communication. She has worked as a policy advisor in the US Senate and lives in Belfast with her son.
