Knox — Dennis Reed Bailey, 70, passed away suddenly July 15, 2020. He was born May 6, 1950, to Richard L. and Grace R. (Larrabee) Bailey in Knox, where he was raised with his nine brothers and sisters.

Dennis was well known for his deer hunting stories, and raising some news that involved Dennis and his siblings. He started Bailey Transport in the late 1980s, which he proudly owned and operated until the day of his death, and he was often seen driving that truck. Dennis loved traveling, especially to islands, including Hawaii, Aruba and Bonaire, where he would always scuba dive in search of sunken treasure! More than anything else, Dennis loved taking time off to spend with his family and grandchildren, but who can forget his orange Spider? Dennis will always be remembered for his big smile, kind heart and shining blue eyes.

Dennis is survived by his children, Alicia, George, Michelle, Terri and Christopher; grandchildren Naima Bailey and Riley Cook; siblings Steven, Linda, Richard Jr., Mildred, Poncho, Laurent, Timothy, Roxann and William; and a large extended family.

A potluck celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at 65 Bryant Lane, Knox.
