Summer open house at Mills' Veterans Retreat

Retired U.S. Army S/Sgt. Travis Mills is a recalibrated warrior, motivational speaker, actor, author and advocate for veterans and amputees. Travis is one of five quadruple amputees from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to survive his injuries. He lost both his legs and arms in an IED explosion April 10, 2012, on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan.

On Saturday, Aug. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m., Travis invites the public to come to a summer open house at the Travis Mills Foundation Veterans' Retreat, 1002 Watson Pond Road, Rome, to learn more about the retreat’s accomplishments and 2019 ambitions.

You will be given a guided tour, have pictures taken with Travis, and learn how you can get involved to support our warriors and their families. Parking is available onsite. Registration is not required but would be helpful to plan the number of tour guides needed. Please visit travismills.org to RSVP and for more information.
