The Greater Bay Area Ministerium Food Cupboard at Belfast United Methodist Church has a new drive-by system of food delivery, which will be put into place at the March 27 food pickup.

Belfast —

Greater Bay Area Ministerium Food Cupboard announced Tuesday changes in the way food would be dispensed at the church.

Food Cupboard Manager Greg Todd said that, as a safety precaution and to encourage minimal contact, people will be asked to remain in their vehicles, and a volunteer will bring food out to their car.

The food cupboard is located in the lower level of the Belfast United Methodist Church at 23 Mill Lane. Food is given out on the second and fourth Fridays of every month from 9 to 11:30 a.m., with the next date being March 27. All are welcomed.

Todd said he has not seen a big influx of people coming to the food cupboard lately, and did not know how long this new procedure would be in place.
