Stockton Springs — A Searsport driver escaped serious injury after his Ford Explorer rolled over on Muskrat Farm Road in Stockton Springs shortly before noon Friday, March 7.

Ben Seekins, supervisor for the Stockton Springs police department, said 19-year-old Forrest Pacholski had turned off of Route 1A onto Muskrat Farm Road and was headed towards Route 1 when his 2000 Ford Explorer hit some ice on the road.

The ice caused Pacholski to lose control of the vehicle, which rolled over once before coming to rest on its side. Seekins said Pacholski suffered only a minor injury to his hand and that he was the only occupant in the vehicle.

A small amount of gasoline also leaked from the vehicle, but it was quickly cleaned up by members of the Prospect Fire Department.

Seekins said no charges would be filed against the driver.

Stockton Springs Ambulance crews and a Waldo County Sheriff's deputy assisted at the scene of the crash.
