Waldo — A driver who rear-ended a car on Route 7 Monday afternoon, Sept. 25, has been summoned for operating under the influence.

The crash occurred near the Brooks-Waldo town line. Leslie Miller, 56, of Eddington, had stopped in the road for a flagger working as part of a roadside tree trimming crew, when Brandi Nickerson, 33, of Frankfort, struck Miller’s car from behind, according to police at the scene and a press release from Waldo County Sheriff's Office.

Neither driver was injured and there were no passengers in either vehicle, police said.

Deputy Kevin Littlefield conducted a field sobriety test on Nickerson at the scene and transported her to Waldo County Jail for a breath test. Nickerson was summoned for operating under the influence, class C, and operating without a license, class E.
