Camden — The Points North Institute is offering early bird discounts on passes to the 2017 Camden International Film Festival and Points North Forum through 11:59 p.m. Friday, June 30.

Passholders are granted priority entry into screenings and events. Early bird prices are $165 for an All Access Pass and $85 for a Festival pass, available online at pointsnorthinstitute.org/ciff.

The 13th annual Camden International Film Festival will run Sept. 14 through 17 in Camden, Rockport and Rockland. Considered among the top film festivals for documentaries in the world, this year CIFF continues to highlight innovative work that shows a deep commitment to the craft of nonfiction storytelling.

The 2017 festival will showcase more than 80 documentary features and shorts from around the globe. The weekend will feature documentary films from both emerging and established filmmakers, most of whom attend their screenings. This year’s program, listing films, filmmakers, high-profile industry attendees and speakers, will be announced mid-August.

CIFF’s Points North Forum offers unique opportunities for professional development and creative inspiration, for filmmakers and filmgoers alike. CIFF passholders can attend hands-on workshops, panel discussions and master classes; meet top filmmakers and industry leaders; and get a glimpse into the process of producing documentaries at the popular Points North Pitch.

Tickets also are on sale for the Summer Preview Party Friday night, July 7 on the Rockland waterfront. More information on the party, tickets and CIFF are available on the festival’s website.
