Bucksport man completes degree requirements at MMA

CASTINE — Carter DeRedin of Bucksport has completed the requirements for a B.S. degree in marine engineering technology from Maine Maritime Academy.

UMaine at Augusta announces fall dean’s list

AUGUSTA — University of Maine at Augusta Provost Joseph Szakas announced that the following full-time students from Waldo County earned GPAs of 3.25 or better to make the UMA dean's list for fall semester:

Sarah Lahaie Fecteau, Nathan Nolting and Jamie Sanders, all of Belfast; Christina Call, Brooks; Alana Isabelle and Chelsea Lydem, both of Burnham; R.J. Botley, Lincolnville; Jeshua Ryan, Montville; Elizabeth Carver, Northport; Caleb Coffin and Monica Gilbert, both of Palermo; Shana Larrabee, Prospect; Kayla Raymond, Searsport; Beth DePalma, Lily Nickerson and Matthew Payne, all of Unity; and Jean McIntyre, Waldo.

Three area students make Emmanuel College dean's list

BOSTON — In honor of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College has named more than 800 students to the dean's list for the fall semester. Among them are three from Lincolnville: Morgan Mercier, Jacson Mooers and Jack Uhll.

To earn a spot on the dean's list, Emmanuel students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Maine Maritime Academy announces dean's list

CASTINE — The following area students have earned grade point averages of 3.3 or above to be named to Maine Maritime Academy’s dean’s list for the fall semester:

John Davis of Belfast, international business and logistics; David Estes of Searsport, marine transportation operations; Donald Hustus of Brooks, power engineering operations; Scott Kulikowski of Swanville, marine engineering operations; Melinda Ogden of Winterport, international business and logistics; Mackenzie Philbrick of Searsport, international business and logistics; Adam Reed of Unity, power engineering technology; Tyler Ripley of Troy, international business and logistics; Kaitlyn Shute of Searsport, international business and logistics; and Jack Valleau of Liberty, marine engineering technology.

From Bucksport: Dylan Bunker, marine engineering technology; Bryan Johnson, power engineering technology; Riley MacLeod, international business & logistics; and Jennifer Zdrojowy, marine biology small vessel operations.
