CAMDEN, ME, August 2, 2019 – Press Release– Erick Anderson, General Manager of the Bay View Collection, was one of 18 graduates of this year’s Midcoast Leadership Academy (MLA), the Academy’s 9thprogram year. The graduation ceremony took place on June 7thin Belfast.

The Midcoast Leadership Academy (MLA) is a program in partnership with the Unity Foundation. The organization’s mission is to build a network of informed, committed, and engaged community leaders throughout Knox and Waldo Counties, positively impacting the economic and cultural quality of life in the area by enhancing the professional and personal development of program participants. Guest faculty are drawn from academia, business, government, consulting and the nonprofit sector.

Each program year, a select group of individuals is thoughtfully chosen from both Knox and Waldo Counties through an application process which aims to provide diversity of thought, knowledge, and experience within the class.

“I am very proud of Erick for this accomplishment”, says Matthew Levin, Director of Hotels for the Bay View Collection. “Erick has been an outstanding General Manager for our boutique hotel group for the past 9 years and I have seen him grow both personally and professionally over these years, with a strong passion for service excellence both with our guests and staff. His experience with the MLA program will only serve to further enhance his management and leadership skills both at work and in our community.”

“I was very excited to have been selected for MLA9 this past year and I am grateful to have been connected with so many other community leaders in the course with me”, says Erick Anderson. He continues, “The knowledge I gained from each class enhanced not only my outlook on what I already knew were our amazing communities, but furthermore helped me understand myself as a person and how I can utilize certain skillsets in different areas and teams that I work in.”
