Belfast — Kevin Johnson will be the guest speaker at the Belfast Historical Society program meeting Monday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Abbott Room of Belfast Free Library, 106 High St. The topic for this presentation will be “New” Old Images from the Penobscot Marine Museum Collection.

Views of Belfast chosen from the several extensive collections of glass plate negatives now owned by the Penobscot Marine Museum will be shown. Johnson is the photo-archivist and has been instrumental in the cataloging, preservation and printing of these collections. Belfast Historical Society meetings are free and open to the public and are held on the fourth Monday of the month, April through October. Those unable to attend the program are invited to tune in to “Window on History” on BCTV-2 Tuesdays at 7 p.m., Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 4:30 p.m.; or watch the program online at belfastmuseum.org, which offers new programs each month.
