Belfast — KnitMaine-ia 2017, the eighth annual fundraiser sponsored by the Women of St. Margaret’s, hits the runway Saturday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Belfast Boathouse, on the waterfront at the foot of Commercial Street.

The event celebrates local knit and crochet artistry modeled on the runway and includes music by Splendid Ibis, a silent auction of hand-knit shawls, door prizes, cider and a savory delicacies e reception. This year's theme is Sea Creatures.
