First National Bank Supports First Fridays at the Farnsworth

ROCKLAND, MAINE – First National Bank and First Advisors recently presented the Farnsworth Art Museum with $10,000 for the sponsorship of the First Fridays and the Farnsworth’s Volunteer Initiative.

“We are proud to support First Fridays for the ninth consecutive year,” said Tony C. McKim, President and CEO of First National Bank. “It’s a great opportunity for the community to view the museum’s beautiful exhibitions for free.”

The First Fridays events run from June through October and allows visitors to view the Farnsworth’s galleries free of charge from 5pm to 8pm. This year, visitors will also be able to visit the Wyeth Center free of charge, beginning with the July First Friday.  The 2018 First Fridays at the Farnsworth, part of the Arts in Rockland First Friday Art Walks, are June 1, July 6. August 3, September 7 and October 5.

The sponsorship also includes support of the Farnsworth’s Volunteer Initiative which includes a Volunteer Fair on June 1, volunteer training sessions and recognition events.
