Former Windjammer Kelly, unbeaten Blue Devils prepare for postseason

Greensboro, N.C. — Camden Hills Regional High School graduate and Central Connecticut State freshman Kristina Kelly, as she has been known to do annually over the years, prepares, with her team, for another postseason run.

CCSU (7-0) will face the University of South Florida (9-0-2) in the first round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Tournament on Tuesday, April 27 at 3 p.m. The match will be played at Bryan Park in Greensboro, N.C. and will be available via stream on

Central Connecticut State, a Division I program, netted 19 goals (2.71 goals per game) on the campaign. The Blue Devils are coming off their third straight Northeast Conference Championship and have allowed one goal on the season.

Kelly scored the first goal of the season for CCSU and has two goals and an assist on the campaign.

In high school, Kelly netted a whopping school-record 159 goals, led Camden Hills to four straight state Class A state championships and was named the 2019 High School Girls National Player of the Year.
