While it might still be Winter, we know getting our hands dirty in the garden is right around the corner. Each Summer is our chance to create our edible & colorful backyard getaways, and when the snow melts it always feels like we are starting from scratch. Come spend an evening sharing your successful strategies & experiments, as well as your cautionary tales. Heron Breen of Fedco Seeds will moderate a Beginning Garden Planning discussion and helpful guidance for the coming season. First-timers & old hands are both invited!

We will explore siting your first garden & amending an existing plan, be it raised beds or garden plot. Understanding your Soil & Substrate, Fertility, & Well-Timed Actions thru the season are the linchpin of a successful gardener. With these foundations, you can understand what you can & cannot expect from your gardening efforts.

Instructor Heron Breen has worked for nearly 20 years designing & evaluating Fedco's vegetable trial programs.
