Free talk on browntail moths Nov.13

Stockton Springs — This summer, you and probably a few of your neighbors had the misfortune to experience the dreaded browntail moth. Come to a talk at the Stockton Springs Community Library on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 6:30 p.m. to hear more about this invasive forest pest that continues to expand its range in Maine, bringing with it human health impacts.

Presenter Tom Schmeelk is an entomologist with the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry through the Maine Forest Service Insect & Disease Lab. His info session includes an overview of the moth’s biology, history in Maine, and updates on current browntail range/areas at risk.
