Freedom “Farm Days” Parade, August 20, 2016

It was a beautiful day for a parade and to spend some time in the park. There wasn’t any humidity, cool breezes, and lots of sunshine, blue skies, family, friends and neighbors.

The parade route was lined with people. The Freedom Volunteer Fire Department was preparing their chicken BBQ in the park and the air was filled with the aroma of chicken and excitement.

The American Red Cross set up their center at the Town Office Election Hall and welcomed anyone that wanted to donate blood.

Robert Stover provided (one-man band) entertainment with great music and has a voice to match it.

The festivities in the park was over by 1:30 p.m. and the following is a list of winners of the raffle and trophies for first second and third place.

1st prize-9" Android Tablet 16 GB Kate Flynn

2nd prize- 6 foot floor lamp with glass shelves Tyler C. Hadyniak

3rd Stained Glass Holly Ingraham

4th-Hand Made Brown Afghan Mike K.
