The Planning Board will hold their meting on Tuesday, February 11, at the Town Office starting at 7:00 p.m.

February 14 is Valentine’s Day, a day to remember those that are special to you, whether it is with flowers, candy, dinner out or doing something else that is special.   Most importantly don’t forget it!

Voice of Freedom:

Get Well:

Gisela Qualtrough was released from the hospital in Augusta after having surgery and is back at Lakewood Nursing Home in Waterville.  Feel better and stay strong Gisela.

Tim Turner’s surgery went well and he is now home from the hospital resting comfortably!  Hope you will be up and around soon Tim.

Kyle Turner son of Tim and Tami’s was accepted to UMO next year!  Congratulation’s Kyle!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              May your future be as bright as you are and may all your dreams come true.

You have made your family very proud of you, and keep up the good work.

Deepest Sympathy:

Our sympathy goes out to the family of Audrey Williams who was a resident of Freedom since 2004.  Audrey passed away after being ill for a long time on January 28.  Audrey served on the Budget Comm. and was fairly active in the town.  She was a friend to many and a beautiful person.  Our condolences to her family and her husband Gil.

Memorial services will be held in Duxbury, Mass.

I want to take this time to say “Thank You” to Brian Jones who is retiring as a 3 year term of Selectmen.   You conducted yourself well, spoke softly and carried a big stick.  You stood up for what you believed and worked the best to your ability for the people of Freedom.  Now you will have more time to devote to your job as State Representative and to your wife.  I will miss you at the meetings.

Welcome Penelope:

A little late here, but I would like to congratulate Paul and Kate Flynn of Freedom General on the arrival of their granddaughter Penelope.  Paul has been posting photo’s of her on facebook but Marilyn Perry and I had the pleasure of meeting her in person together with her parents and grandparents at the Ridge Top Restaurant in Knox this past week.  She is beautiful and such a good baby.  May God always watch of and bless her always.
