Veterans Day:

Saturday, November 11 we will be holding our usual services at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Freedom.  We have a wall with pictures of veterans from all branches of the service that we are proud to display.  This year I am asking the residents of Freedom to submit not only a photo of a Freedom resident Veteran, but a photo of any Freedom resident FAMILY member.  It is our way to give thanks to them serving our country. You can drop it off at the Town Office during open office hours.

The services will be held at the Veterans Memorial Park on Pleasant Street next to the church.  It will start at 11:00 a.m. sharp, on November 11 and the bells will toll the eleventh hour.  Tyler Charles Hadyniak will be MC for the program, the Chordsmen will sing, there will be music and Roy Ward, a WW11 Veteran will celebrate his 98 year young birthday.  Refreshments will be served in the church basement.  We hope to see many there because it is on a Saturday.

Voice of Freedom:

Power Outage and Fallen Trees:

Hopefully we will awe all will have out power back.  There were more outages from this storm then from the Ice Storm of 98.  Neighbors helping neighbors!  People with generators offering their homes to the less fortunate. The nights are as black as coal.  Most people are at home in the darkest hours.  We try to do what we can during the daylight hours.  It makes me think more about those that survive through the hurricanes, winds at 70 or more miles an hour, and in PR, no food, no power still and no clean water.  We are so blessed.

Until next week, stay safe, stay warm and God Bless!
