Voice of Freedom:

Happy New Year to Everyone!

This past year has flown by so quickly that I feel like I’m still in the month of September.  Every Day just got busier and busier and Christmas crept up before I knew it.

I remember when I was 21 years old and the year of 2000 seemed so far away.  But after 21, the years began to fly by and now it is 2018!  What a concept.

Through the years, I have had many people come into my life and many are gone, some for a season, some for a reason and some are here for a lifetime.  I have had my ups and downs just like everyone else, but I was able to bounce back stronger.   The most important thing in my life is my family (Chuck, Lynn, Tyler, Kyle and Mariah) for I have been blessed to have a very loving son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law.  My extended family, Norm (Lynn’s Dad)  and my best friend of 41 years, Mike.  Our family consisted of 11 of us and four dogs at one time and today we are down to 6 family members and still four dogs.

This morning , especially during the holidays,  I felt like we were surrounded by the spirits of those that have passed on including the pets.  We are all happy here in Maine, and especially here In Freedom for we have come to meet many wonderful people, and have become a big part of the community and the past almost 21 years have been the best.

The end of 2017  is drawing near and as I look back, I do it with a smile on my face for I have many wonderful memories of living in a rural area, in the woods, in the middle of the country in a town called Freedom, Maine.

I wish you all a very Happy and prosperous New Year filled with good heath, happiness, joy and most of all Love!!

Stay safe, stay warm and God Bless.
