Voice of Freedom

Congratulations to Glen and Dave Bridges who welcome their great-grandson, Bronson Wilder Voltolina, born to granddaughter Victoria and Nic Voltolina on Aug. 21. You are both truly blessed to have become great-grandparents! I love his name and may he grow up to be healthy and successful.

Also, Kevin and Erna Keller became grandparents to a baby girl, namely Nevaeh. Her parents are Tia and Mike. She weighed in at 5 lbs. some ounces, 19 inches tall, and Erna was there to see her being born. She is so precious and beautiful!.

I guess it’s OK to say that Labor Day weekend was the end of summer. Where did it go? Time sure flies! I hope you all had a safe holiday weekend spending it with friends, neighbors or family. The time for all barbecues to end, together with swimming, shorts, fairs, yard sales and all the good activities that we enjoy during the summer. Now is the time to prepare for winter. Stacking wood for the wood stove, making sure we have gasoline for the generator, shovels, and so much more to be ready for ole man winter.

But looking on the brighter side, it is a time for us to look forward to the wonderful holidays that will follow, like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter and then on Memorial Day, summer begins again. What a cycle!

Contact me if you have anything you want to share with my readers.

Until next week, stay cool, stay safe, be kind to your neighbor and God bless!
