Thomaston Place Auction Galleries is a premier auction house in New England with a worldwide audience and reputation.

We have an opening for a bookkeeping / accounting professional; seeking someone with solid QuickBooks experience, & experience with database interface. Responsibilities include A/P, A/R, bank and credit card reconciliations, bank deposits, sales and use tax reporting and payments, year end financial reports, preparing tax information for our CPA. Additional duties include weekly payroll, attendance & vacation tracking, maintaining employee files, administration of health insurance, annual renewal & open enrollment, HRA and section 125 processing, and 401K plan administration. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local labor laws and required postings.

Auction cycle duties include registering bidders, processing invoices and payments, answering phone, customer service and support, processing consignor payments. Also responsible for ordering office supplies, auction supplies, etc, handling incoming and outgoing mail. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to work all 4 auction weekends.
