Girls on the Run is excited to be expanding in the Midcoast area this spring.  Come to the Belfast Free Library on Saturday, December 2nd at 10:30 to learn more about the program and how to start a site in your community.  Current Coach and Midcoast Regional Coordinator Caroline Moore will be there to introduce the program and answer your questions about starting a site. Whether you're a parent interested in having your daughter participate, a teacher looking to start a site, a community member interested in coaching or volunteering, or you're just wondering what Girls on the Run is, please join us to learn more!

Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based positive youth development program dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.  Girls learn their worth comes from within, that healthy relationships matter and that they can be a force for good in their community through a fun, experience-based curriculum that uses running to teach these lessons.  Girls meet twice a week over the course of the 10-week season, and build up to running a celebratory 5K at the end of the season.  Current and past sites in the area include Rockport (PenBay YMCA), Liberty (Walker School), and Troy (Troy Central School).

Please reach out to Caroline at caroline.moore@girlsontherun.org for additional information or with questions, whether or not you’re able to join us on 12/2.
