Belfast — “A Closer Look: Windows and Doors,” a group show by the Mid-Coast Art Guild, is on display in the Kramer Gallery of the Belfast Free Library for the month of April. The Mid-Coast Art Guild is a group of 14 artists who meet weekly to learn new techniques and develop their skills.

After having an interesting and challenging workshop on the subject last September, the group decided to spend the winter exploring intimate views of windows and doors.  Reflections, supporting “surroundings” and the hint of a story behind the scenes all contributed to the artists’ focus on this subject.  The resulting works were inspired by views seen around the community, in the state and from trips abroad.

The Kramer Gallery is located in the lobby of the library, 106 High St., and is open during library hours. For more information, call 338-3884, ext. 10.
