Horch Roofing And GAF Roofing Give A Free Roof To Habitat For Humanity

By Horch Roofing | Jul 18, 2012

Horch Roofing is a company that believes in giving back to their community, including volunteering their time with Habitat For Humanity.  Habitat For Humanity has helped build over 500,000 houses worldwide with the vision that everyone should have a decent place to live.  While Horch Roofing generally works with Habitat by donating their labor, one house in Thomaston received an even greater donation: A free roof, valued at $5,100.00.

For this property, Peter Horch put the roof on himself.  GAF Roofing, a company that manufactures the shingles Horch uses to build roofs, donated all of the materials used on this house.  Based on Peter’s work with their product, the relationship GAF Roofing has with Peter’s company, and the Habitat for Humanity cause, GAF Roofing was more than willing to help.  Such generosity makes a huge difference for the Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization that works tirelessly to fundraise for building supplies.

“This is one of several Habitat for Humanity projects that we’ve been involved with,” said Peter Horch.  “Giving back to the community is so important to our values at Horch Roofing and I am proud to be involved with Habitat. We are changing people’s lives here.”

Horch Roofing is one of the few certified providers of these shingles, which made it possible for them to donate the materials.  They are committed to maintaining these certifications for the products that they use.

Many people just you by the people you surround yourself with.  I am some happy that I have quite a few interactions with Peter Horch.  What a guy - we should all emulate Peter.  Thank you Peter for all that you do.
