How to SURVIVE a construction or renovation project

PART I: BEFORE THE PROJECT STARTS

If you’re planning a construction project, there are steps you may take to reduce the amount of additional stress you may experience…

FIRST: Know who you are hiring for a contractor

“How long have you been in business and what is your experience?”

MAINE COAST CONSTRUCTION has been doing business in the Mid-Coast Area for 49 years; our staff is experienced in all phases of construction and remodeling; we are pleased to accept challenging jobs; we will walk through the project and understand financial constraints.

SECOND:  Check your contractor’s references

MAINE COAST CONSTRUCTION will furnish you with our company resume, which includes staff bios and a variety of client and business references.

THIRD:  Know the financial condition of your contractor

MAINE COAST CONSTRUCTION is fully insured and financially stable.  Our bank references are included in our resume.  We invite inquiries about these issues.

Watch for Part II: The job is ready to start…

… It’s time to sign the contract…”Oh! Oh! There is no contract...hold on a minute!”
