Islesboro Police blotter

Apr 10, 2019

For the month of March, Islesboro Police Department received or responded to 50 calls for service, including 23 business checks, five radar details, four parking problems, two car/deer crashes (both on March 28), and 15 other complaints. Six parking tickets were issued and no arrests were made.

Public Safety Director Fred Porter also reports the following activity:

On March 17, Kevin Durkee, 48, of Islesboro, summonsed for operating after suspension (suspended for prior OUI), failure to give notice of an accident by quickest means; also cited for operator not properly secured, failure to maintain control of motor vehicle, inadequate tires.

Readers are reminded that an arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
