Jellison workshop at Local Color

Mar 19, 2019
Deborah Jellison will share her technique of painting and collaging handmade paper during a two-day workshop at Belfast’s Local Color Gallery.

Belfast — Artist Deborah Jellison will teach the technique of painting and collaging handmade paper during a two-day workshop for adults and teens Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Local Color Gallery, 135 High St.

The workshop is free, but a $12 fee to cover materials is requested. The gallery also will be accepting donations for the Soap Closet.

Jellison’s work is full of patterns and layers, and she will demonstrate how to bring movement, color and textures together to form a cohesive collage piece. The process is fun but messy, so participants should plan to dress down and come prepared to play.

Class size is limited to 12, so register early at debfelli@hotmail.com. For more information, visit localcolorgallerymaine.com.
