David Freidenreich to speak on Jewish Immigration to Maine at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 27th at Penobscot Language School

Join us for a talk by Professor David Freidenreich.  Freidenreich’s talk will focus on Jewish immigration to Maine during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, how this period of immigration reflects broader dynamics in Jewish immigration, and valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities that immigrants have encountered in Maine.

David Freidenreich is the Pulver Family Associate Professor of Jewish Studies at Colby College, where he directs Colby's Maine Jewish History Project.
